Background: Ian has been the Managing Director of a company specifically set up to manage a project within an £8.8m ESF Objective 5b funded initiative, with the remit to assist SMEs in the South West of England with the development, monitoring and evaluation of performance management for improving company effectiveness. The above innovative work has been complemented by Ian’s role as a part-time tutor in ‘Strategic Management’ and ‘Small Business’ in the Bristol Business School. Ian’s consultancy is built upon a successful career as a quality oriented manager who has progressively applied ‘lean-management’ methods to his teams and departments. Ian is an enthusiastic and proactive freelance consultant who specialises in the monitoring of staff and organisational performance with a sustained record of developing human capital across a range of businesses and institutions. He has a strong statistical and performance management background and is an experienced trainer who has delivered bespoke solutions to clients and customers. Ian’s key strength is his ability to link company strategy to tactical and operational objectives through aligning staff and team goals throughout all levels of the organisation.
